Using HEX codes in the correct color space.
When dealing with a recent client I was tasked with creating a 3D swoosh that resembled twisted taffy but also needed to be specific company colors. This was originally done by using the emissions channel but it was not producing the shadows and depth that they wanted…because light.
My next step was to tone down the emissions on some colors and not others in order to achieve a look that would maintain the company HEX #. When inserting a HEX into a Redshift Color node there is an icon that you need to make sure that you have un-checked. it is the linearize color space icon. This will change your HEX code into its linear cousin and your sRGB renders wont look quite right.
